Dear Future and Current PDP Dancers,
Our Poway Dance Project 2020-20201 auditions have been postponed until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, the PUSD is using the CIF regulations as a guideline for all dance teams in our district. This is something our program stands by as we want to ensure that all dancers auditioning have a fair chance to be a part of our dance family. Normally our planning for the season coming up is already communicated but since we are not sure of the timeline we are mixing things up this year. We want to know the dancers that are hoping to be a part of your Nationally recognized dance team and share some information with you about what it’s like to be a member of the Poway Dance Project. Our coach and current captains will begin to send out video content so that you have plenty of time to prepare for your audition, with no pressure of perfecting that content if you don’t have the space to practice. This is all just to give you an idea of what dance level is expected of a PDP dancer. We will make sure all content sent out will be things that can be done safely on any surface. Safety is our main priority. All future and current PDP candidates should email the head director, Raul Gomez, at gomezjrraul@gmail.com to join our email list and receive content. Upon receiving an email from you Raul will send you a questionnaire to understand at which level you plan to join PDP and to get to know a little more about you. We know this is an uncertain time we are in but we do look forward to meeting you! Stay safe and happy dancing! Thank You, Raul Gomez Poway Dance Project Director PDP spent the weekend in Las Vegas at the Vegas Classic hosted by Desert Oasis High School.
