May 7th 6:00pm PHS K-1 Technique & Combo Workshops* April 29th and May 6th 8:30-9:30pm Signature Dance Academy *These are not sponsored by Poway Dance Boosters, nor required for auditions. However, they are highly encouraged for auditioning dancers. Cost is $10 cash at the door for each technique & combo workshop. Thank you for your interest in joining Poway Dance Project. We are a group of very talented and competitive dancers that perform at many school functions and competitions throughout the year. Please take a moment to look over the commitments associated with joining Poway Dance Project as there is a significant amount of dedication required. You will find all the information you need for the audition on this page.
Workshops:
Dancers will learn various technique combos, a jazz and pom combo, and a contemporary solo/improv
Workshop will be held at Poway High School May 14 and 16, 3:30pm-6:00pm
What to Bring to 1st Day of Workshop:
*Clothing for jazz and contemporary
*Jazz Shoes or half soles (preferably tan)
*Hair pulled back in low ponytail, middle part (no messy hair)
Technical skills preferred for team:
*Quad/Triple Pirouette (Left and Right)
*Left, Right, and Center Leap
*Turns in Seconde
*Flexibility
*Acrobatics (aerial, headspring, back handspring, walk over etc.)
ALL TO BE PERFORMED WITH PROPER TECHNIQUE
Auditions:
Auditions will be judged by a panel of 2 professional judges.
Auditions will be held Saturday, May 18th, 2019 at PHS U-1
PLEASE NOTE! YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO AUDITION WITHOUT THE FOLLOWING
(NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE PERMITTED):
